XBRI: transport and agriculture drive tire demand in Paraguay
The growth of freight transport, farming activity and the expansion of the vehicle fleet are driving tire demand in Paraguay. In this context, XBRI Cubiertas identifies the truck and agricultural machinery segments as the market's main engines during the first half of 2026, while consumers adopt buying criteria increasingly oriented toward performance, safety and operating cost.
The company maintains that the momentum of sectors such as logistics, transport and agricultural production has raised the need for tire replacement and boosted demand for solutions for specific applications, in both light and heavy vehicles.
The company observes sustained growth in demand during the first half of 2026, driven by the expansion of the vehicle fleet, logistics activity and agricultural production.
The digitalization of the buying process and greater demands from consumers are also redefining competition in the sector.
The Paraguayan tire market maintained a positive trend during the first half of 2026, driven by growth in the vehicle fleet and the momentum of freight transport, logistics and the agricultural sector. In that context, XBRI Cubiertas identifies the truck and agricultural machinery segments as the main drivers of demand, while end consumers increasingly prioritize performance, safety and operating cost over the initial price.
The company maintains that freight transport currently concentrates much of the growth, since fleets look for tires that combine durability, safety a lower cost per kilometer driven. In parallel, farming activity continues to demand solutions for heavy machinery, with a focus on reducing downtime and maintaining productivity.
"Consumers no longer decide solely on the price or the origin of the tire. Today they analyze safety, resistance, performance, warranty, availability and cost per kilometer driven," XBRI Cubiertas stated.
TRANSPORT AND AGRICULTURE
The strengthening of productive activity is changing the composition of the tire market. According to the company, the increased use of trucks and machinery generates longer replacement cycles and more frequent demand for specialized tires.
In freight transport, factors such as load capacity, performance and immediate product availability have become decisive in reducing logistics costs and preventing units from remaining out of operation.
In agriculture, the priority is maximizing machinery productivity during the growing seasons, where a failure can affect the pace of work and raise operating costs.
CONSUMER PROFILE
Greater availability of information and comparison between brands are changing purchasing decisions.
According to XBRI, the origin of the tire is no longer the main selection criterion.
Customers increasingly evaluate technical specifications, commercial backing, warranty, stock availability and the product's real performance.
THE DIGITAL CHANNEL
Although the company does not disclose revenue figures by channel, it acknowledges that online sales maintain sustained growth and are part of a long-term commercial strategy.
The digital platform makes it possible to browse products, compare alternatives, manage orders and arrange shipping nationwide, while a significant share of consumers begins their purchase process there before completing it in person
For the company, the omnichannel model makes it possible to integrate the digital experience with the branch network and the various customer service channels.
REGIONAL EXPANSION
The growth strategy contemplates strengthening both logistics coverage and physical presence in the country.
In parallel, XBRI is advancing with the construction of its first industrial plant in Brazil, expected to begin operating in 2027.
The project contemplates an annual production capacity of up to 12 million tires for passenger vehicles and 2.5 million for freight transport, which will make it possible to expand product availability for South America and strengthen regional supply.
AFTER-SALES AS A DIFFERENTIATOR
Beyond the product, the company seeks to differentiate itself through technical guidance, specialized attention and digital services.
The goal is to support the customer throughout the entire buying process, recommending the tire according to the vehicle, the type of terrain, the load and the conditions of use, as well as integrating service through branches, the online store, WhatsApp, chat and other digital channels.
