XBRI supports Becas Hayes: driving education and opportunities for young Paraguayans

At XBRI we believe that investing in education is also investing in the future. That is why we support and sponsor the Becas Hayes program, an initiative that gives young Paraguayan university students the chance to strengthen their education, broaden their professional opportunities and develop new tools for their future.

Becas Hayes is a program aimed at outstanding university students with limited financial resources. Those selected gain access to an intensive English course at the Paraguayan American Cultural Center (CCPA), complemented by activities oriented toward personal development, entrepreneurship, preparation for the world of work and strengthening their leadership skills.

The program was born in 2006, an initiative of the Paraguayan American Chamber of Commerce and the AmCham Foundation, in partnership with the Paraguayan American Cultural Center. Since then, it has offered training opportunities to young people across different generations, awarding a total of 2,240 scholarships to date.

The offer goes far beyond learning a language. Each Beca Hayes covers three years of English classes at the CCPA, plus a program of extracurricular activities designed to complement the students' education.

During these activities, the scholarship holders have access to experiences linked to topics such as cybersecurity, personal finance, employability, mentoring, job interviews and networking, contributing to a more complete preparation for the challenges of professional life.
